Roberto Cavalli dies aged 83: acknowledged for his animal prints

At the age of 83, renowned Italian designer Roberto Cavalli, who pioneered animal motifs on leather and cloth, passed suddenly. His well-known apparel brand announced his passing on Instagram, but they didn't elaborate.

Roberto Cavalli died in his Florence home after a long illness, according to the Italian news agency ANSA.

He established his corporation in the 1970s. Among the celebrities who have worn his pieces are Brigitte Bardot, Sophia Loren, Jennifer Lopez, and Kim Kardashian.

The creative director of Roberto Cavalli, Fausto Puglisi, says the designer will always be regarded as "a beacon of inspiration for others."

In an Instagram post posted by the design company, Mr. Puglisi described his partnership with Cavalli as "the greatest honour of my career".

A carousel of quotes from the late designer was included by the brand in a statement announcing his passing. A life lived with love, the apparel line said. With sorrowful emotions, it is with great sadness that today we say our final goodbyes to our founder Roberto Cavalli. From humble beginnings in Florence.

The message continued, "Roberto succeeded in becoming a globally recognised name loved and respected all."Naturally talented and creative, Roberto believed that everyone can discover and nurture the artist within themselves. Roberto Cavalli’s legacy will live on via his creativity, his love of nature and via his family who he cherished.

"Surround yourself with love, as it will serve as your life's beacon." Cavalli concluded the statement with this.
