Pakistan’s Twitter account gets withheld in India for the 2nd time in 6 months

Pakistan’s Twitter account:-
The Indian government has yet again withheld the Twitter account of the Pakistan Government for the second time since 2022.
As the users try to access the account, the notification addressing ”Account Withheld” appears on the screen Makingthe account unavailable for the viewers.
Twitter banned the official accounts of Pakistani Embassies in Turkey, Egypt, the United Nations, in June 2022.
The in August prohibited accounts on other social media platforms like Facebook and YouTube as well. The accounts were allegedly spreading fake and anti-India content on their pages. The content used by them was believed to mislead the global audience and spread fake propagandas which could result in unrest.
India discontinued Around 16 YouTube channels out of which 7 were based in Pakistan. The concerned ministry took the action by employing the emergency power under IT Rules, 2021.
Pakistan’s Twitter account was also withheld in October 2022, before that in July the account was withheld but authorities reactivated it later.
