Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, along with his wife Sunita, actively engaged in the Sundarkand recitation event organized by the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) at Pracheen Shri Balaji Mandir in Rohini. This spiritual initiative, aimed at fostering community bonding, unfolded across 2,600 locations, including all 70 assembly constituencies and municipal wards in Delhi.

As part of this recurring program every Tuesday, Delhi Minister Saurabh Bharadwaj also participated in the 'Sundarkand' recitation event in Chirag Delhi, emphasizing the party's commitment to spiritual activities within the community. AAP, in a strategic move, established an internal organization specifically dedicated to orchestrating such religious events throughout the city.

This spiritual undertaking is not without its share of intrigue, as Chief Minister Kejriwal has yet to receive a formal invitation for the upcoming 'pran pratishtha' ceremony, according to AAP sources. While a preliminary letter advised blocking dates, specifics and a formal invite are expected to follow. The party's initiative aims to weave spirituality into the fabric of Delhi's weekly routine.

In response, All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi offered a satirical take, labeling Kejriwal the "Chhota recharge of RSS" due to the AAP's decision to conduct Sundarkand recitation events across Delhi. Owaisi's quip pointed at the perceived alignment with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) agenda, adding a touch of political banter to the spiritual narrative.
