Heart Coronary Artery Bypass surgery today at Kauvery Hospital

Tamil Nadu Power Minister V Senthil Balaji underwent a successful Heart Coronary Artery Bypass surgery today at Kauvery Hospital in Chennai. The minister, who had been experiencing cardiac issues, was admitted to the hospital earlier this week after complaints of chest discomfort and breathing difficulties. Following the surgery, the hospital has stated that his condition is stable and he is recovering well.

The 48-year-old minister had been facing health issues for some time now and had recently undergone medical examinations, which revealed the need for a coronary artery bypass surgery.

Recognizing the seriousness of his condition, he was promptly admitted to Kauvery Hospital, a renowned healthcare facility known for its expertise in cardiac care.

Dr. Arvind Swaminathan, the lead cardiac surgeon who performed the surgery, expressed confidence in the procedure’s success. He stated, “Minister Senthil Balaji underwent a coronary artery bypass grafting surgery today, which involved rerouting blood flow around blocked or narrowed arteries. The surgery went smoothly, and we are pleased with the initial response. He is currently under observation in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), and his condition is stable."

The hospital released a statement saying that four bypass grafts were implanted during the procedure and coronary revascularization was achieved.

The news of the minister’s surgery has sent concerns through the political circles of Tamil Nadu, with leaders across party lines expressing their concern and extending their wishes for a speedy recovery. Chief Minister M.K. Stalin, who visited the hospital earlier today, conveyed his best wishes to Minister Senthil Balaji and his family.
