In anticipation of clashes between the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Delhi Police has intensified security at ITO, implementing measures to mitigate potential traffic disruptions. The National Capital is set for a tense Friday as AAP, led by Arvind Kejriwal, plans a protest outside the BJP headquarters, accusing them of cheating in the Chandigarh mayoral polls. Simultaneously, the BJP announced a demonstration near the AAP office, alleging corruption in the Delhi government.

The Delhi Police, cognizant of the volatile situation, has assured robust security arrangements to prevent any breach of law and order during the protests. Additional forces will be deployed strategically to maintain a controlled environment. Traffic management will be a priority, with diversions planned from Deen Dayal Upadhyay Marg to alternate routes to minimize disruptions in the central parts of the city.

Key figures, including Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, are expected to join the demonstrations, adding further significance to the protests. The BJP's recent victory in the Chandigarh mayoral polls, tainted by accusations of cheating by AAP-BJP, has heightened tensions, leading to legal proceedings.

As the police prepare for potential roadblocks, there are concerns about heavy traffic jams around Central Delhi. Reports suggest the influx of Aam Aadmi Party workers from outer Delhi and Punjab, amplifying the need for stringent security measures. Delhi Police, mobilizing resources from multiple districts, plans to deploy over 10 ACP and numerous DCP rank officers around DDU Marg. Additionally, eight company paramilitary forces have been called in to maintain order during the anticipated political showdown.
