This supplementary budget encompasses a significant allocation of Rs 7,421.21 crore for new proposals, including substantial provisions for ongoing schemes, amounting to Rs 21,339.46 crore.

Key components of this supplementary budget include financial support for farmers, with Rs 900 crore earmarked for free electricity and Rs 400 crore to clear dues of sugarcane farmers. However, the assembly witnessed Samajwadi Party members' ongoing protest against the government, symbolized by their attire of black clothing. Shivpal Singh Yadav, a prominent leader of the Samajwadi Party, criticized the Yogi government's budget allocation, alleging significant underutilization of allocated funds across departments. This sentiment was echoed by Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav, who raised questions about the government's handling of wheat procurement and advocated for reduced GST on farming equipment.

The ongoing assembly session, which commenced on November 28, remains a platform for deliberations, protests, and critical discussions about the state's budgetary allocations and policies.
