The 'Delhi Chalo' protests, aimed at addressing farmers' grievances, continue with intensified efforts from the government to resolve the impasse. Three Union ministers - Piyush Goyal, Arjun Munda, and Nityanand Rai - engaged in discussions during the first meeting on February 8.

Farmer leader Sarwan Singh Pandher confirmed the government's invitation for a second-round meeting on February 12 in Chandigarh. The meeting aims to address demands voiced by the Samyukta Kisan Morcha and the Kisan Mazdoor Morcha, emphasizing a non-political dialogue platform.

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann facilitated the coordination between farmer leaders and the government, actively participating in the initial discussions. Post the meeting, assurances were made by central ministers to conduct further discussions.

Despite the positive strides, farmer leaders assert the continuation of the 'Delhi Chalo' march scheduled for February 13, underscoring their resolve. Additionally, discussions highlighted key agreements, including the withdrawal of cases against farmers and measures against counterfeit agricultural inputs.

However, amidst these developments, condemnation surfaces regarding the Haryana government's decision to suspend mobile internet services and bulk SMS in seven districts. Farmer representatives, like Pandher, express readiness for the upcoming march, terming it historic.

In essence, the ongoing talks underscore the government's commitment to address farmer concerns, as discussions pave the way for potential resolutions amidst the 'Delhi Chalo' protests, maintaining the momentum for dialogue and action.
