Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge has expelled Pramod Krishnam from the party for six years, citing "indiscipline and repeated statements against the party." Krishnam's recent meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and subsequent remarks criticizing Rahul Gandhi contributed to his expulsion. Krishnam had also criticized Congress' strategies for the upcoming elections and attacked the Opposition's bloc.

In a significant move, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge has expelled Pramod Krishnam from the party for six years, citing complaints of "indiscipline and repeated statements against the party." This decision, approved by Kharge on Saturday, comes in the wake of Krishnam's recent meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his subsequent remarks criticizing senior party leaders, particularly Rahul Gandhi.

Krishnam's expulsion follows his invitation to Prime Minister Modi to attend the foundation stone laying ceremony of "Shri Kalki Dham" on February 19. Expressing gratitude for Modi's acceptance, Krishnam's actions stirred controversy within the Congress ranks. His criticism of Rahul Gandhi's accessibility further exacerbated tensions within the party.

Krishnam, known for his vocal support of 'Sanatan Dharma' and Ram Mandir, had been increasingly vocal about his views, often praising Prime Minister Modi and criticizing Congress' electoral strategies. He lambasted the party for what he perceived as a lack of preparation for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, contrasting it with the proactive stance of other political parties.

Furthermore, Krishnam launched scathing attacks on the Opposition's bloc, particularly the "INDIA alliance," dismissing its viability and referring to its demise as akin to being cremated in Patna by Nitish Kumar. His bold statements and divergent views have exposed deep-seated rifts within Congress and raised questions about the party's cohesion and leadership effectiveness.

Krishnam's expulsion underscores the challenges facing Congress as it navigates internal dissent and external pressures in the run-up to crucial elections. The party's decision to enforce discipline highlights its determination to maintain unity and coherence amid turbulent political landscapes.
