Telangana Police Apprehend Nigerian Narcotics Dealer in Hyderabad, Seize Drugs Valued at Rs 8 Crore

Telangana police apprehended a 43-year-old Nigerian national, Iwuala Udoka Stanley, in Hyderabad on charges of drug trafficking. The arrest followed extensive surveillance and intelligence gathering by law enforcement agencies. Authorities seized a substantial quantity of narcotics valued at approximately Rs 8 crore from Stanley's possession.

The confiscated contraband included 557 grams of cocaine, along with other illicit substances such as Ecstasy pills, LSD blots, Charas, heroin, Amphetamine, and various forms of marijuana. Additionally, eight cell phones were seized during the operation.

Stanley, who resided in Candolim, Goa, had been under observation for over a month by the Telangana State Anti-Narcotics Bureau (TSNAB). The bureau, in collaboration with local police forces, meticulously tracked Stanley's movements and activities to gather evidence against him.

Acting on credible information, a joint team of TSNAB and Panjagutta Police intercepted Stanley as he was allegedly transporting the drugs to his customers in Hyderabad. The arrest was a culmination of efforts aimed at dismantling drug networks operating within the region.

Further investigation revealed that Stanley had a history of involvement in drug-related crimes. In 2017, he was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in Goa for similar offences. After his release, Stanley resumed his illegal activities, sourcing narcotics from contacts in Mumbai and Goa.

Authorities suspect that Stanley was part of a larger drug syndicate, with connections to suppliers and consumers across multiple cities. Preliminary inquiries suggest that Stanley had a network of over 500 customers, including seven individuals based in Hyderabad.

The investigation is ongoing, with authorities working to identify other individuals involved in the drug trade. Law enforcement agencies are committed to combating drug trafficking and ensuring the safety and well-being of the community.

The arrest of Stanley and the seizure of narcotics valued at Rs 8 crore represent a significant victory in the fight against drug-related crimes in Telangana. It underscores the relentless efforts of law enforcement agencies to root out illegal drug networks and hold perpetrators accountable for their actions.
