In a recent social media post, Shiv Sena's Sanjay Raut accused BJP supporters of assaulting female workers affiliated with the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) coalition in Pune. Allegations include the throwing of eggs, stones, and bricks at the MVA workers, with Raut criticizing the Pune Police for their inaction during the incident.

Raut took to the social media platform X to express his dismay, stating that several MVA women activists were beaten up by BJP supporters, while the police stood by as mere spectators. He further accused BJP goons of attacking senior journalist Nikhil Wagle's car, illustrating what he referred to as a blatant attempt to undermine democracy in Pune.

Raut's accusations didn't stop there; he directly addressed Devendra Fadnavis, accusing him of orchestrating violence against the women of Maharashtra and asserting that the people of the state would not forget such actions.

Additionally, Raut stirred controversy by sharing a photo on social media depicting a 'gangster' alongside Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, insinuating a connection between Shinde and criminal elements. This sparked further criticism from opposition leader Vijay Wadettiwar of the Congress party, who shared a video allegedly showing the same mobster freely roaming within the premises of Mantralaya, the state secretariat. Wadettiwar called for clarification from Deputy CM and Home Minister Devendra Fadnavis on the matter, intensifying the political tension in Maharashtra.

The allegations made by Raut and the subsequent responses from various political figures have stirred significant controversy, highlighting the ongoing political turmoil in Maharashtra. The incident underscores the deep-seated divisions and tensions within the state's political landscape, with implications for both the upcoming elections and the stability of the ruling coalition.
