India is prepared to provide “Afghan people” humanitarian aid, including wheat, through Iran’s Chabahar port. This aid was transported through Pakistan.Even though India hasn’t recognized the Taliban government in Kabul, it is still in contact with it and providing humanitarian aid. To coordinate the distribution of humanitarian assistance, an Indian technical team was dispatched to Kabul in June 2022.In December 2018, an Indian corporation took over the management of the port. India has committed up to $85 million to the port’s construction because it is a crucial link in its communication with Iran, Afghanistan, and Central Asia to the west.The port is reportedly a part of the Mumbai-Moscow North-South Transport Corridor.
