India will Transport Help to Afghanistan:-
India is prepared to provide “Afghan people” humanitarian aid, including wheat, through Iran’s Chabahar port. The India-built port has previously been used to transport assets to Afghanistan, but this will be the first time since the Taliban took control of the landlocked nation that aid will be sent through the Chabahar. The ministry of external affairs claims that “the India side declared its participation with UNWEP to deliver 20,000 MTs of wheat for Afghan people through the Chabahar port to address the current humanitarian situation. Taliban has praised the advancement. According to Suhail Shaheen of the Taliban, “the 20,000 MTs of wheat that were sent to the people of Afghanistan via Chabahar port are deeply appreciated. Such humanitarian actions strengthen bilateral relations and increase confidence between the two nations.” India sent out multiple shipments of humanitarian aid last year, including 28 tonnes of disaster relief supplies, 500,000 doses of the COVID vaccine, 5000,000 tonnes of medications, 40,000 MTs of wheat, and 50 tonnes of medical supplies. This aid was transported through Pakistan. Even though India hasn’t recognized the Taliban government in Kabul, it is still in contact with it and providing humanitarian aid. To coordinate the distribution of humanitarian assistance, an Indian technical team was dispatched to Kabul in June 2022. In December 2018, an Indian corporation took over the management of the port. India has committed up to $85 million to the port’s construction because it is a crucial link in its communication with Iran, Afghanistan, and Central Asia to the west. The port is reportedly a part of the Mumbai-Moscow North-South Transport Corridor. India has contributed six mobile harbor cranes and other items totaling $25 million as part of their participation in the project’s development. The announcement was made on the day that the working group on Afghanistan for India and Central Asia met. The group includes all five countries of Central Asia- Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan & Uzbekistan, and this is the first time this group has met.
