The Canadian government has warned its citizens against traveling to Manipur, a state in northeastern India, due to the ongoing ethnic clashes that have resulted in more than 50 deaths. 


In an advisory issued by the Canadian government, it stated that the safety of its nationals could be at risk because of the ongoing protests and Violence in the region. The advisory also noted that violent demonstrations had been taking place in Manipur since May 3, 2023, leading to casualties, disruption of traffic and public transportation, curfews in several districts, and limited mobile and internet services.
