In a remarkable display of prowess, Rohit Sharma expressed his satisfaction with the Indian team's performance in the World Cup 2023. The captain, visibly pleased, praised the team's clinical execution during their victory against the Netherlands at Bengaluru's M Chinnaswamy Stadium on Sunday, November 12.

The Men in Blue asserted their supremacy by defeating the Netherlands with a convincing 160-run margin, capping their round-robin stage with an undefeated streak. Finishing at the top of the points table with 18 points in nine games, Rohit Sharma's squad emerged as the first team to secure a spot in the semi-finals.

Rohit Sharma stressed the team's plan of playing one game at a time as he reflected on the trip. "Since the beginning of the tournament, it's been all about one game at a time." "We never wanted to look too far ahead," Rohit said following the game. With 11 potential games in a long tournament, the squad chose a targeted strategy, breaking down the competition into digestible pieces.

India's tenacity was on display throughout the round-robin round, as they played matches at nine separate sites. From the opening game against Australia at Chennai's MA Chidambaram Stadium to the final group game in Bengaluru, the squad negotiated varied circumstances with ease, demonstrating their versatility and competence.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi joined in the adulation, praising the Men in Blue. He praised India's ability and togetherness and sent his best wishes for the next semi-final against New Zealand, headed by Kane Williamson, set for November 15 at Mumbai's Wankhede Stadium.
