"In 2047, at 100 Years of Independence, India will Become a Developed Nation": PM Modi's Address to 'Parivarjan'

As we celebrate 76 glorious years of independence today, the PM was set to address the countrymen from the ramparts of Red Fort under multi layer security.  

Upon his arrival at Red Fort he was received as per the protocol and thereafter he inspected the Guard of Honour. After hoisting the proud tricolor the Prime Minister began his customary address to the nation. 

PM's address on the first year of 'Amritkaal' to his 'Parivarjan' began with remembrance of birth anniversaries of revolutionary leader Sri Aurobindo, Swami Dayanand Saraswati, Rani Durgavati & Bhakti movement icon Meerabai. 

Thereafter his concern for Manipur state was reflected as he stated over the past weeks, particularly in Manipur located in the Northeastern region, there was a period of conflict resulting in loss of life and harm to the dignity of women. However, there have been recent indications of tranquility, and the country stands in solidarity with Manipur.

The PM indicated significance to the three 'D's which will bring the nation to utmost development. He stated that in the present day, the nation possesses the elements of Demography, Democracy, and Diversity, and this combination holds the capability to fulfill every aspiration of India.

On India's 77th Independence Day, PM Narendra Modi expressed concern about heavy rainfall causing havoc in several states. He assured affected families of support from the national and local governments in rebuilding their lives.

He didn't just focus on the upcoming decades; his perspective extended to centuries as he mentioned In 2014 and 2019, a Government was established by the people. The government's thinking is being driven by Reform, Perform, and Transform to bolster the forces of the country, which, in turn, would fortify the foundation for the forthcoming 1000 years.


From the ramparts of Red Fort, PM acknowledged the global experts and emphasized the nation's progress and cited global experts who praise India's unstoppable growth. Speaking from the Red Fort, PM Modi remarked, "Global experts are saying that India will not stop now, all rating agencies lauding the country."

He also commended the youth of the nation for their pivotal role in the success of digital public infrastructure and highlighted the significant impact made by individuals from Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities, including in the realm of start-ups.

Referring to the G20 Summit in Bali from the previous year, PM Modi stated that the success of India's digital initiatives isn't confined to major cities like Mumbai, Delhi, and Kolkata. He mentioned the remarkable influence of young individuals in smaller Indian cities and villages, showcasing their determination and conviction.


Discussing India's upcoming opportunity to host the G20 summit, PM Modi noted that various events hosted by local cities within the past year showcased the nation's capabilities and diversity to the world.

PM Modi mentioned with the support and efforts of 140 crore citizens, the country which was 10th largest economy in the world back in 2014 is now the 5th largest economy. PM Modi guaranteed that in the forthcoming years, India would rank among the top three economies. 

He further added that their primary objective remained the reduction of inflation to enable the citizens of the nation to enjoy prosperous and fulfilling lives.

The PM gave a new and much powerful term 'Women-led development' to the term 'Women Empowerment' on the 77th Independence Day. PM Modi emphasized that the driving force for the nation's progress is women-led development. He pointed out that India can proudly claim to have the highest number of pilots in civil aviation and mentioned that women scientists are at the helm of the Chandrayaan mission. 

The Prime Minister also conveyed to the ladies that the country had progressed as a result of the collective strength they possessed. He also added that the G20 countries are acknowledging the significance of development led by women.

In his consecutive 10th address to the nation PM Narendra Modi remarked that the post-COVID era has brought about a new global order and redefined geopolitical equations. He highlighted India's role as the voice of the global south and praised the nation's ability to reshape the world. 

The Prime Minister mentioned India's impactful contributions during the pandemic, emphasizing a human-centric approach despite supply chain disruptions and pressure on developed countries.


The PM asserted his intention to secure another term in 2024 and highlighted the upcoming five years as crucial for unprecedented development. He pledged to present the nation's accomplishments from the Red Fort on the following August 15.


He firmly believed that India would be a developed nation by its 100th year of freedom in 2047, based on the nation's capabilities and available resources. However, he stressed the importance of addressing three pressing issues: corruption, dynasty politics, and appeasement.


PM Modi also revealed the introduction of the Vishwakarma Yojana, targeting individuals possessing traditional expertise. The program is set to begin with an initial allocation of Rs 13,000-Rs 15,000 crore. The Vishwakarma Scheme was initially unveiled as part of the Union Budget 2023.

In his 10th Red Fort address since taking office in 2014, PM Modi assured that the country's borders were now more secure than ever. He extended heartfelt wishes to soldiers safeguarding the borders and underlined the need for essential reforms in the armed forces.

Stressing the importance of adapting to changing security challenges, he emphasized that armed forces should be young, battle-ready, skilled, and well-equipped. The process of enacting these reforms, PM Modi noted, was already in motion.

PM Modi underlined India's support during the pandemic and its emergence as a global friend. He mentioned concepts like "One Sun, One World, One Grid" for renewable energy and the approach of "One Earth, One Help" after COVID-19. He proposed the idea of "One World, One Family, One Future" for the G20 Summit.

Additionally, he introduced Mission LIFE for climate issues and the solar alliance, which has garnered participation from numerous countries.

Concluding his speech, PM Modi urged the nation to combat corruption, nepotism, and appeasement. He criticized dynastic politics, stating that parties endorsing such practices function as "party of the family, by the family, and for the family.

On Independence Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi continued his tradition of wearing colorful turbans and donned a Rajasthani-style one while addressing the nation from the Red Fort. As he concluded his speech, the sky was adorned with tricolor balloons.
