In a surprising move, despite Tejas' dismal performance at the box office, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath of Uttar Pradesh has expressed his intention to watch the film alongside its leading lady, Kangana Ranaut. The movie Tejas made a lackluster debut at the box office, with earnings far below expectations during its opening weekend.

Scheduled at the grand Lok Bhawan in Lucknow, the special screening of Tejas will be attended by distinguished members of the Cabinet. This unique event underscores the Chief Minister's determination to watch all of Kangana Ranaut's future films. It's a clear testament to the favor the actress enjoys among key political figures in the country.

In a recent social media post, Kangana Ranaut passionately appealed to her followers to support her film by watching it in theaters. She expressed concern about the dramatic decline in theatrical footfall, even before the COVID-19 pandemic, and the rapid decrease afterward. Many theaters are struggling to stay afloat despite offers of free tickets and reasonable deals.

Tejas, the 2023 Indian Hindi-language action thriller film directed by Sarvesh Mewara and produced by Ronnie Screwvala, reported only Rs 1.25 crore in earnings on its third day of release, bringing its total collections to Rs 3.80 crore. With its underwhelming performance, it faces an uncertain future at the box office.

The film features Kangana Ranaut in the lead role, supported by Anshul Chauhan and Varun Mitra. Despite its box office challenges, Tejas has garnered significant attention, especially from political circles, exemplified by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's special screening plans.
