Boy Kidnapped in Mumbai after Evening Prayers, Murdered for 23 Lakh rupees

A 9-year-old boy in Thane, Maharashtra, finished his evening prayers at his neighborhood mosque and went outside. However, he was abducted by a neighboring tailor, who then killed him, put him in a bag, and concealed him within his property.

The horrifying series of events took place in Thane's Badlapur village, Goregaon, on Sunday night. The primary accused, Salman Maulvi, allegedly asked for money to build a new home. The same neighborhood tailor, Salman, had plotted to abductIbad and hold him hostage for 23 lakh rupees. This heinous act was purportedly done to raise money for a house's construction.

After evening prayers, Ibad's family became frightened and began a frantic search for him. Their worst fears came true when a horrifying phone call was received by Ibad's father, Muddasir, demanding a huge ransom to ensure his son's safe return. But the call ended quickly and without giving any details.

The townsfolk started two searches as soon as they heard about Ibad's abduction. The locals united in their hunt for the missing youngster, even as the police searched every possible direction, following leads. The kidnapper changed the SIM card in his phone in an attempt to avoid being discovered as he felt the pressure mounting.

The police found Salman's home on Monday afternoon. The discovery they made shocked the entire community: Ibad's body had been haphazardly concealed behind the house in a sack."There was a ransom call post kidnapping. We are holding the accused. The Thane Superintendent of Police (SP), Dr. DS Swami, announced that the motivation behind the child's murder is being looked into.
