In the sacred city of Varanasi, the Dashashwamedh Ghat is set to host a grand 'Ganga Maha Aarti' on Monday evening, coinciding with the consecration ceremony at the Ram temple in Ayodhya. Varanasi, the parliamentary constituency of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is buzzing with religious fervor as temples, including the revered Kashi Vishwanath temple, engage in elaborate rituals, including Vedic recitations since the morning hours.

To facilitate community participation, two strategically placed LCD screens in the Kashi Vishwanath temple complex will broadcast the live 'pran pratishtha' ceremony, allowing devotees to partake in this momentous occasion. Public Relations Officer Piyush Tiwari mentioned the added cultural festivities, with the Indian Music Arts Center presenting a captivating Kathak performance along with various other programs.

As evening descends, the Kashi Vishwanath temple will be adorned with the glow of lamps. Mahant Jitendra Mohan Puri of the Batuk Bhairav temple revealed that the temple will be decorated with flowers, and 5,100 lamps will illuminate the temple complex while Sundar Kand is recited.

Sushant Mishra from Ganga Seva Nidhi highlighted that in honor of the consecration of Shri Ram Lalla in Ayodhya, the Ganga Aarti in Varanasi will transform into a 'Maha Aarti' during the late evening. Typically performed by seven Archakas, today's special occasion will see nine Archakas participating in the grand Aarti.

Following the Aarti, Ram Bhajan will resonate, and Deepotsav will grace the Dashashwamedh Ghat in the evening, accompanied by the distribution of prasad among devotees, as shared by Sushant Mishra. Boatmen associated with the Maa Ganga Nishad Raj Seva Trust are ferrying passengers across the river free of cost, enhancing the accessibility of the celebrations.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reached Ayodhya to partake in the consecration ceremony at the newly constructed Ram temple. His itinerary includes addressing a gathering after the ceremony, visiting the Kuber Tila, and interacting with the 'shramjeevis' (workers) associated with the temple's construction.
