The Panchayat election in West Bengal



After the completion of polling along with re-polling  on several booths due to violence on the scheduled day, the counting of votes will begin on 11th July, 2023.

 

Security has been deployed at counting centers to ensure peaceful unraveling of votes.

 

The security personnel can be seen allowing officials with only valid photo id inside the counting centers. Officials are allowed only after facial recognition.

Various visuals from counting centers such as Dinhata, Narayantala Ramkrishna Vidhya Mandir, South 24 Parganas and Berhampore Girls College, Murshidabad are clearly depicting the well management in counting centers by security officers.

 

Officers are seen to manage the crowd by communicating in their state language Bangla for smooth conduction of security processes.


After deaths due to violence in polling booths and the fresh polling, the fate of citizens and the candidate will be unraveled on Tuesday. The destiny of the state panchayat will be decided.

Amidst the counting of votes, governor of West Bengal CV Ananda Bose has ensured that those who committed violence during polling will be taken action against and all the authorities will come down together with heavy hands on the lawbreakers. The statement was given after he visited Delhi.
