Vinod Kambli, a former Indian cricketer, landed himself in serious trouble after his wife reported him to the Bandra Police on 3rd February. According to reports, Kambli hit his wife on the head with a cooking pan, severely injuring her head. Vinod Kambli As per Vinod Kambli’s wife, Andrea Hewitt reported, Vinod Kambli allegedly entered his Bandra apartment in a drunken state between 1:00 and 1:30 pm IST and began verbally harassing his wife. The incident was witnessed by Kambli's 12 year old son, who also made an effort to calm his father down. However, Kambli rushed to the kitchen angrily and threw a cooking pan at Andrea which caused her severe head injuries. "After smashing with the cooking pan, he tried to hit me with a bat. I was able to stop him and I immediately rushed to the hospital with my son", Andrea stated in the FIR.  After an investigation, the security guard at Vinod Kambli's home added that the cricketer left his apartment that day at around 2:00 pm IST with a head injury.
