UP CM Yogi Adityanath Sends Stern Message to Criminals and Gangsters After Recent Killing

Uttar Pradesh's Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has issued a stern warning to criminals and gangsters in the state after the recent killing of gangster-turned-politician Atiq Ahmed and his brother. Speaking at a function, Adityanath stated that the law and order situation in the state has significantly improved and that gangsters and criminals can no longer threaten anyone in Uttar Pradesh.

Gangster-turned-politician and brother brutally killed by fake journalists in UP

The Chief Minister's statement comes in the wake of the shocking incident where Ahmed and his brother were killed by three men while being taken to a hospital for a medical check-up. The attackers, who posed as journalists, killed the Ahmed brothers in full view of camera crews, shouting Jai Shri Ram slogans. The attackers were later overpowered by the police, and their videos went viral on social media platforms.

Uttar Pradesh's image crisis turns into criminals' crisis.

Adityanath emphasized that communal violence was not reported in Uttar Pradesh from 2017 to 2023, and no curfew was imposed during this period. He stated that before 2017, the state was infamous for riots and had a crisis of identity, but now, it is becoming a crisis for criminals and mafias.

The government has taken swift action in response to the killings, forming a three-member judicial panel to investigate the incident, and a Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been formed to probe the murders. Adityanath's stern warning to criminals and gangsters indicates the government's seriousness in dealing with such incidents and sends a clear message that their activities will not be tolerated in the state.
