As a precautionary measure, the police have provided security to the crew member. However, an official complaint has not been filed yet, and therefore, no First Information Report (FIR) has been registered.

The government of West Bengal, led by the Trinamool Congress, has recently imposed a ban on the movie titled 'The Kerala Story.' The rationale behind this decision is to uphold peace and avoid instances of animosity and aggression within the state.

This decision makes West Bengal the first state to impose a ban on the film. 'The Kerala Story' presents the distressing accounts of three women who undergo the traumatic ordeal of being trafficked to camps associated with ISIS following their conversion to Islam as a result of marriage.

The movie has been at the center of a political controversy, even though it has been granted tax-free status in the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-governed state of Madhya Pradesh. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee explained that the ban was implemented to prevent any potential escalation of hatred and violence and to maintain peace in the state.

In response, Vipul Amrutlal Shah, the film's producer, stated that they would explore legal options against the ban if necessary, seeking legal advice before taking any further steps.

Sudipto Sen helmed the movie "The Kerala Story," with Vipul Amrutlal Shah serving as the producer. However, Pinarayi Vijayan, the Chief Minister of Kerala, expressed strong opposition to the film, deeming it as "propaganda aligned with the RSS."

The film faced increased controversy when its trailer made a bold assertion that 32,000 women hailing from Kerala had disappeared and become affiliated with ISIS. However, due to widespread protests, this contentious figure was later removed from the trailer.

The situation remains tense as the movie's fate hangs in the balance, awaiting a formal complaint from the crew member to initiate legal proceedings. The filmmakers and producers are determined to fight against the ban and uphold their artistic expression, considering all available legal options.
