The "Modi Surname" Conundrum Continues, Lalit Modi To Sue Rahul Gandhi in UK Court!

The man who gave the Indians, and the whole world, a phenomenal source of entertainment in the form of the Indian Premier League or the IPL, has spoken up on the burning Issue of the past few days. With the "Modi Surname" controversy ceaselessly spreading across the globe, Lalit Modi threatened to sue Rahul Gandhi on the same.

Lalit Modi, having a net worth of more than Rs 12,000 crores, took to Twitter to convey his concerns about the remarks made by Rahul Gandhi. 


Furthermore, Lalit Modi also threatened to sue Rahul Gandhi in the UK court, his current home since the lifetime ban imposed on him by the Indian Cricket Board in 2013. 


Lalit Modi questioned Rahul Gandhi back on the allegations he raised against the former. Mr. Modi tweeted, "I see just about every Tom dick and Gandhi associate, again and again, saying I am a fugitive of justice. why? How? and when was I to date ever convicted of the same? unlike #Papu aka @RahulGandhi now an ordinary citizen saying it and it seems one and all opposition leaders have nothing else to do so they too are either ill-informed or just vendetta prone."


Mr. Modi also stated his intention to take Rahul Gandhi to court for his derogatory remarks. He wrote, "I have decided to take the @RahulGandhi at least him to court in the UK right away. I am sure he will have to come up with some solid evidence."


Lalit Modi also threatened to expose RaGa and his companions and mentioned that he would look forward to seeing Gandhi "making a fool of himself" in the court.


The man who owns some of the most sought-after brands worldwide didn't contain himself in expressing his displeasure on Twitter. He wrote that while not a single proof has been found on the alleged convictions against him, one thing that is proved is that he created the "greatest sporting event in this world" that has generated close to 100 billion dollars. 


Interestingly, Lalit Modi also put a video of his tweet thread with the IPL "theme song" on it, taking a jibe at his ill-wishers. 


Whether Lalit Modi would sue RaGa over the "Modi Surname" controversy will be clear in the upcoming days. With the netizens getting readied for the IPL 2023, we all Can agree to the fact that Lalit Modi indeed gave us one of the "greatest sports events" to cherish!
