In a groundbreaking move, Spotify, a leading music streaming platform, has unveiled its beta version integrating music videos, aiming to enrich user experience and artist engagement. This latest addition, introduced by Sten Garmark, Spotify's global head of consumer experience, promises a new dimension to the platform's offerings.

Initially accessible in 11 markets, including Italy, Germany, and the UK, Spotify's music video feature boasts a curated selection of popular artists, featuring the likes of Aluna, Asake, and Ed Sheeran. Users can anticipate a growing catalog comprising 'thousands' of songs in the near future.

Accessing music videos on Spotify is seamless; users can simply navigate to the Now Playing screen and spot the 'Switch to Video' icon above the song title, indicating video availability. Rotating the device enables full-screen playback, enhancing the viewing experience, with an option to switch back to audio mode effortlessly.

The expansion of this feature is imminent, with plans to incorporate additional markets based on content support and market size. Beyond mobile devices, Spotify's music video streaming will be compatible with desktop and TV platforms, catering to a wider audience.
