In a special trading session, both the S&P BSE Sensex and the NSE Nifty50 closed higher, supported by a robust performance in metal and metal stocks. The Sensex advanced by 60.80 points, settling at 7,806.15 points, while the Nifty50 surged by 39.65 points, reaching 22,378.40.

The positive momentum was primarily driven by strong gains in metal and metal-related stocks. During the two-hour trading session split into two parts, all broader market indices concluded in positive territory.

Across sectors, every Nifty sectoral index closed in the green. Notably, Nifty Metal saw an increase of nearly 1.6%, while Nifty Media experienced a 2% uptick, largely due to a robust rebound in sectoral stocks.

Among the top performers on the Nifty50 were Tata Steel, Hero MotoCorp, Tata Motors, Adani Ports, and JSW Steel. Conversely, M&M, Maruti, NTPC, Sun Pharma, and Nestle India were among the top losers for the session.
