Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S24 series, set for a January 17 debut, brings several enhancements, including AI features. Notably, the devices won't ship with chargers, but Samsung teases two new chargers for separate purchases. These include a speculated Samsung Charger Duo 50W with dual USB-C ports and an upgraded 45W charger. While the new chargers promise better performance, the Galaxy S24 base model might support 25W charging, while the Plus and Ultra variants retain 45W fast charging. Technical enthusiasts note differences in charging capabilities between older and new chargers, focusing on higher power ranges.

Samsung's much-anticipated Galaxy S24 series is slated for launch on January 17, promising significant upgrades, including AI features. Notably, following the recent trend, the devices won't include chargers. Instead, users have the option to purchase two new chargers separately.

Leaked details from Roland Quandt shed light on the upcoming chargers. One is rumored to be the Samsung Charger Duo 50W, possibly featuring dual USB-C ports for faster wired charging. Additionally, an improved version of Samsung's existing 45W charger is in the works.

While these chargers won't be bundled with the Galaxy S24 series, the enhanced 45W charger is expected to offer better performance, improved heat management, and a more streamlined design, potentially at a higher price point.

Reports suggest that the base model of the Galaxy S24 might support 25W charging, possibly requiring the new 45W charger for optimal performance. Meanwhile, the Plus and Ultra variants are likely to maintain support for 45W fast charging, continuing the tradition of previous models.

Technical enthusiasts note differences between the older T4510 charger, supporting USB PD 3.0 PDO and PPS, and the new chargers, which may not include USB PD 3.1. Instead, the focus seems to be on higher power ranges, reaching up to 240W.

Samsung's decision to exclude chargers aligns with industry trends aimed at reducing electronic waste. The introduction of these upgraded chargers provides consumers with more advanced charging options for the new Galaxy S24 series, catering to diverse user preferences and needs.
