Raksha Bandhan: Preparations and Celebration Started Nationwide

According to different beliefs Hindus are celebrating the festival of Raksha Bandhan on different days. Thus the preparations and celebrations have been started since early in the morning. Various visuals are coming out regarding the same. 

In Chhattisgarh’s Sukma district, CRPF jawans received rakhi bracelets tied by women.

In Thane, Maharashtra, markets were bustling with various sweets and delicacies being prepared for Raksha Bandhan.

In Boniyar, Baramulla district of Jammu and Kashmir, women participated in the ‘Thanks Jawan’ campaign by crafting rakhis for soldiers in anticipation of Raksha Bandhan.

At the district jail in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, a rakhi stall was set up to sell rakhis crafted by women prisoners ahead of Raksha Bandhan.

BSF jawans celebrated Raksha Bandhan at the international border in the Samba sector of Jammu and Kashmir with a group of school children.
