In a significant development leading up to the Rajasthan Assembly elections, the political landscape in the state is witnessing heightened intensity. The Rashtriya Loktantrik Party (RLP) and the Azad Samaj Party (ASP) have formally announced an alliance. Hanuman Beniwal, RLP chief and Member of Parliament from Nagaur, and Chandrashekhar Azad Ravan of ASP confirmed this strategic collaboration during a joint press conference held on Thursday.

"Rashtriya Loktantrik Party has formed an alliance with Azad Samaj Party (Kanshiram) for the upcoming Rajasthan Assembly elections," Beniwal explained. We will run in the elections together and will continue to pursue public-interest issues. This coalition intends to satisfy the aspirations of Rajasthan's people and define the state's destiny."

The leaders also highlighted the need for a robust alternative in Rajasthan, acknowledging the growing dissatisfaction among the youth due to the prevailing political climate. This alliance aims to address these concerns and make a significant impact in the 2023 assembly elections in Rajasthan.

The alliance is set to contest all 200 seats in Rajasthan, presenting a formidable challenge to the major political players. The exact distribution of seats within this alliance will be disclosed on October 29, which also marks the foundation day of the Rashtriya Loktantrik Party.

Furthermore, the RLP and ASP issued a warning to the Congress and BJP, emphasizing that a substantial portion of the electorate did not vote for either party in the previous election, and this time, they anticipate an even more formidable challenge.

A massive rally is planned for October 29 at the Vidhyadhar Nagar Stadium in Jaipur, where the alliance is expected to unveil its list of candidates. The outcome of this alliance will be closely observed as it has the potential to reshape the political landscape in Rajasthan.

Rajasthan is scheduled to go to the polls on November 25, with the vote count taking place on December 3. The state, with its 200 seats, has been witnessing a see-saw battle between the Congress and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) since 1993. In the 2018 Assembly polls, the Congress won 100 seats, while the BJP secured 73 seats, and the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) managed to capture 6 seats. The Rashtriya Loktantrik Party (RLP) secured 3 seats, and other smaller parties and independent candidates held the remaining seats in the 2018 Assembly Elections.
