Surat's sessions court has given its verdict in the case of former Congress President and MP Rahul Gandhi's comment on 'Modi surname'. Rahul Gandhi has been convicted in the defamation case and has been sentenced to two years. Rahul Gandhi is currently out on bail. He was present in the court on Thursday. Significantly, during the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Rahul Gandhi had said in his speech in Karnataka, 'Why Modi is the surname of all thieves?'
