Prajwal Revanna Sex Tape Scandal Rocks Karnataka Before the Elections

A massive sexual assault scandal involving MP Prajwal Revanna, with thousands of videos/photos of him exploiting women, has erupted in Karnataka ahead of elections, causing turmoil for his JD(S) party.

A colossal sexual assault scandal involving Prajwal Revanna, grandson of ex-former Prime Minister H.D. Deve Gowda and sitting MP from Hassan, has rocked Karnataka barely a few days before Lok Sabha elections. On the 27th of April, the state government appointed a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe the alleged sexually abusing and exploitative video clips footage involving Revanna.

About 3,000 video clips, photos, and documents proving sexual attacks against women have come out, making the Revanna and his regional party the opposition (Janata Dal Secular) standing on the wrong foot. Revanna escaped to Germany on April 27th as the matter became a heated public debate. The JD(S) suspended him on April 30th for his misconduct.

The day after, the SIT served Revanna a notice of appearance within the next 24 hours, which his lawyers approached 7 days instead. Even more intriguing facts are coming out - on the 3rd of May, H.D. Revanna, the JD(S) leader and father of Revanna, was booked for kidnapping after one of the alleged victims - who had been a maid in their household for 6 years - made a complaint against him. A Prajwal's video of raping her is shared among people.

On the same day, a 44-year-old party worker accused Prajwal of raping her at his official residence in 2021 and he filmed the act and threatened her with the footage to have sex with him several times until April 2024.

The JD(S) which reels under the sordid allegations has been thrown into crisis mode ahead of polls, all in an attempt to salvage its image. In a bid to calm down the public, the party members have been seen to step back from the Revanna father-son pair, asking for strict action to be taken against them. As the investigation drags on, more may come to bother the mighty political family.
