A woman from
Shivpuri, Madhya Pradesh, who was "abducted" while preparing for an
entrance exam in Kota, Rajasthan, is thought to have arranged the kidnapping in
order to obtain funds for her international trip.
The local officials assert that this is the situation. The woman in question was only 21 years old at the time of the hostage situation. The police claim that Kavya Dhakad has only been in Kota for three days, despite the fact that they have not been able to locate her. Her plan was to live in a dorm and enroll in coaching programs while she was in Kota. Following the successful resolution of the case by Special Police Officer Amrita Duhan of Kota, the specifics of the investigation were made public during a press conference.

On March 18, Raghuveer Dhakad, the father of the NEET candidate, reported his daughter missing to the Kota Police, citing his concern that she had been "abducted." In his grievance, he claimed that individuals he referred to as "kidnappers" had shown him pictures of Kavya strapped to a rope and had wanted ₹30 lakh as "ransom" in order to free her.
On several social media platforms, screenshots of what looks to be a WhatsApp conversation between Kavya's father and the individuals who have abducted her have surfaced. Regretfully, HT is unable to confirm the products' legitimacy.
Kavya was born and raised in the Indian state of Indore, which is also where her most recent known address is. This information comes from Duhan. He claimed to have found it first, and the police responded promptly to his report.
At the airport in Kota, her mother was waiting for her to greet and help her. Based on the testimony of the senior officer, Kavya remained in Indore after her mother left. She then relocated to Indore and started residing with two of her male pals.
The woman told the SP that she texted her parents with updates from the coaching institute, keeping them informed about her whereabouts and her academic progress. This action was taken in response to the SP's query. These texts were actually received by the parents who were supposed to receive them. The officer continued by saying that the images of the student hanging from a rope were taken in a friend's room.
They are working with the police through one of their acquaintances because they were unable to leave the country owing to financial difficulties, and they are staying with Kavya to facilitate their investigation. On March 18, the day a report about her missing was turned in, they were all ready to head for Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan.
Once her whereabouts have been determined, it will be clear if her acts were the result of pressure or voluntary. We're concerned about the woman and her friend's safety, according to Special Police Officer Amrita Duhan, and we're asking them to get in touch with their anxious parents or stop by a local police station.
