This action was disclosed in the company's recent statement on Monday. Notably, 1,658,000 accounts faced preventive bans without user reports. Throughout the month, WhatsApp, boasting over 500 million users in India, received a staggering 16,366 complaint reports, leading to action on 13 reports. The term "Accounts Actioned" pertains to instances where remedial measures were initiated based on user reports, either involving an account ban or the restoration of a previously banned one.

WhatsApp highlighted the significance of its user safety report, offering insights into user complaints and corresponding actions.
