According to the anti-graft agency, Muhyiddin will be charged with various offenses on Friday relating to alleged abuse and money laundering connected to government projects awarded under his leadership. The 75-year-old Muhyiddin visited the anti-graft organization early on Thursday to respond to inquiries for the second time in three weeks. He was first questioned in February regarding awarding projects, including Covid-19 economic aid programs.  After the general elections in November, the new prime minister, Anwar Ibrahim, demanded a review of government projects that previous administrations had approved because they allegedly broke the law. Two prominent Muhyiddin’s Bersatu party members were recently accused of corruption. The anti-graft organization froze the financial accounts of Bersatu as it looked into possible illicit activities.
