Mafia Don Mukhtar Ansari Expresses Fear for His Life in Banda Jail, Seeks Court's Protection

Mafia don Mukhtar Ansari, currently incarcerated at Banda Jail in Uttar Pradesh, has raised concerns about his safety, alleging a potential threat to his life. 

This plea for security comes as Mukhtar Ansari faces three different cases, with proceedings held via video conferencing before Special Judge Dinesh Chaurasia. During these virtual court appearances, Ansari expressed apprehension of a possible plot to harm him within the prison premises and urgently requested the court's intervention to ensure his safety.

Mukhtar Ansari, previously transferred from Sonbhadra, informed the court about his perceived danger from a newly arrived soldier in Banda Jail, who hails from the same district. Ansari believes that the prison administration may conspire with this soldier to orchestrate an attack against him. Consequently, he has filed a written complaint in court, seeking protection. The court is set to hear Ansari's plea on the 13th and 20th of September.

Mukhtar Ansari, a five-time MLA from the Mau Sadar constituency, has a long history of legal troubles, including charges related to murder, robbery, kidnapping, and gangster activities. He has faced convictions in some cases. 

Currently, he is entangled in a legal battle over firearm licenses and allegations of misuse of power, with the MP/MLA court overseeing the proceedings.

Furthermore, there are accusations that Ansari, while serving as an MLA, provided fake recommendations for firearms licenses to numerous individuals.

In light of these allegations, a comprehensive video conferencing session took place, bringing three separate cases before the court. It was during these hearings that Mukhtar Ansari voiced his concerns about his personal safety, prompting him to request security from the court.
