West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata
Banerjee will be undergoing a 10-day period of rest owing to her leg injury.
As per reports, she has received
this medical advice following an injury she sustained to her left leg while on
a recent trip to Spain.
Dr Monimoy Banerjee, the Director of SSKM Hospital Kolkata,
has informed, "Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has been advised to take
rest for 10 days due to her leg
injury.”
He further stated, “Medicines have been prescribed. Her condition will be monitored by a team of doctors regularly."
After returning from her overseas
trip on Saturday night, Banerjee visited SSKM Hospital on Sunday to receive
medical care for her leg injury.
According to senior doctors at
the hospital, the injury sustained by the Trinamool Congress chief occurred
about a week ago. Therefore, there are speculations that she might have
sustained the injuries during her stay in Spain.
Banerjee arrived in Kolkata, West Bengal, on Saturday following her investment tour of Spain and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
In a message posted on 'X,' she
shared, "Back to Kolkata with serious offers for investments and
partnerships from Spain and Dubai.”
“Follow-up overseas delegations
will come shortly and during BGBS in November to carry forward what we
started," she further added.
The leader further expressed, "I thank the Indian Embassies, CII, FICCI, ICC, accompanying industry-business delegates and the media fraternity for working hard towards a common mission. Jai Biswa Bangla! Jai Hind!”
