The highly anticipated final saw Jyothi pitted against Korea's Chaewon So, resulting in a thrilling contest that kept spectators on the edge of their seats.

Jyothi's path to victory wasn't without its challenges. The match kicked off with a minor setback as she scored an 8-pointer. However, displaying her remarkable composure and skill, she quickly bounced back with a series of impressive 10-pointers, establishing an 89-87 lead after three rounds.

The final two Ends of the match showcased Jyothi's dominance as she prevented her Korean rival from making a comeback. She clinched the Gold with a commanding four-point lead, marking India's fourth Gold Medal in Archery at the ongoing Asian Games. This victory also contributed to India's impressive tally of 100 medals, with 23 Gold Medals to their name.

Earlier in the day, Aditi Gopichand Swami secured a Bronze Medal in archery by defeating Indonesia's Ratih Zilizati with a score of 146-140. This accomplishment further bolstered India's medal count, which has already surpassed their previous best of 70 medals at the 2018 Jakarta Asiad.
