Amidst India's upcoming tour to South Africa, head coach Rahul Dravid's absence in overseeing the ODI segment has sparked significant changes in the team's dynamics. The Men in Blue, slated for a high-octane clash with the hosts, anticipate a series of alterations in their approach and leadership.

KL Rahul, stepping into the role of captaincy, is set to lead a squad brimming with individuals marked by awe-inspiring comebacks. Notable additions to the team, including leg spinner Yuzvendra Chahal, wicketkeeper-batter Sanju Samson, and middle-order player Rajat Patidar, aim to captivate with their performances on the Rainbow Nation's cricketing turf.

In a marked shift of responsibilities, the coaching reins for the ODI segment will be in the hands of Sitanshu Kotak, a former Saurashtra legend, and other members of the National Cricket Academy coaching staff. Dravid's absence prompts Ajay Ratra to take charge as the fielding coach, while Rajib Dutta assumes the role of bowling coach, as per reports from Cricbuzz.

However, the focus extends beyond the ODI series, with greater emphasis placed on the forthcoming two-match Test series. India, despite numerous attempts, is yet to secure a red-ball series victory in South Africa, presenting an added challenge for the Test squad and Dravid's coaching staff to etch their names in history.

Furthermore, India's current standing as the second team on the World Test Championship points table, coupled with a strong desire to clinch victory over the Proteas, adds impetus for the team's success in the Test format, aiming for the zenith of cricketing glory.
