The departure of the 20 BG Diesel Loco Engines from Gede junction in North 24 Parganas was marked by a ceremonial launch. At the location, Union Rail Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, along with Jagannath Sarkar, the General Manager of Indian Railways Amar Prakash Dwivedi, and a Member of Ranaghat Lok Sabha, virtually signaled the start of the journey by waving a green flag.
