Color festival at Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir began at the Hanumangarhi temple with the application of colors to the deity there following the pranpratishtha ceremony at the Ram temple on the first day of the first Rang bhari Ekadashi. On Monday, the day of Holi, many believers gathered at the Ram Temple in hopes of seeing Ram Lalla.
Worshippers at the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya celebrated Holi to the hilt by smearing each other with festive colors and singing devotional hymns. This year, there will be a huge Holi celebration in Uttar Pradesh's holy city of Ayodhya. The purpose of the ceremony is to honor Lord Ram.
