In a momentous procession, a colossal 500-kg 'nagada' (drum) has journeyed from Gujarat to Ayodhya, heralding the forthcoming consecration ceremony at the revered Ram temple on January 22. Crafted meticulously by the Dabgar community in Karnavati, Gujarat, this monumental drum is set to find its place on the sacred grounds of the Ram temple, as affirmed by Champat Rai, the general secretary of the Ram Janmabhoomi Theerth Kshetra Trust.

Constructed with resilience in mind, the 'nagada' is fortified against the elements, shielded by layers of gold and silver. Its robust structure, fashioned from iron and copper plates, ensures durability under the relentless gaze of the sun and the unpredictability of rain. The resonant beats of this imposing drum can reverberate up to a staggering kilometer, promising a soul-stirring auditory experience for those attending the historic ceremony.

The generous gesture of sending this extraordinary musical offering originated from a Vishwa Hindu Parishad leader in Gujarat, who, through a heartfelt letter, implored the temple trust to accept this symbol of cultural significance. The arrival of the 'nagada' aligns with the anticipation building up for the grand inauguration event, which will witness the presence of luminaries, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, alongside thousands of invited seers from across the nation. Notably, families of the diligent laborers responsible for erecting the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya have also been extended invitations, acknowledging their pivotal role in this monumental undertaking.

With a guest list exceeding 7,000, the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra has invited diverse personalities, ranging from Bollywood celebrities to cricketers and industrialists, underscoring the widespread significance of this historic occasion. As the countdown to the inauguration continues, the resonant beats of the 'nagada' from Gujarat echo the cultural unity and collective spirit underlying this momentous celebration.
