Following the monumental success of 'Gadar 2,' the sequel to the iconic Hindi film 'Gadar,' Utkarsh Sharma and Simrat Kaur are shedding light on the possibility of 'Gadar 3.' The film, directed by Anil Sharma and featuring stars like Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel, has taken the box office by storm, becoming the second-highest-grossing Hindi film, surpassing even Prabhas-starrer 'Baahubali 2.'

Released on August 11, 2023, 'Gadar 2' has achieved a remarkable feat by accumulating over Rs 500 crore, marking it as one of the notable box office successes in the post-COVID-19 era. Simrat Kaur, in a recent interview with India TV, suggested, "Anil sir can provide the best answer for this. Gadar 3 will come into being when the script and storyline align, just as it took so long for Gadar 2. Once the right story is in place, Gadar 3 will follow the same path."

During a press conference, Sunny Deol expressed his elation over the film's grand success, stating, "I was quite stressed for some time, and when this film hit the cinema halls, it felt as if God had descended upon me. I laughed and cried throughout the night. I even met my father, Dharmendra, and assured him that I wasn't drunk; I was just incredibly happy."

In 'Gadar 2,' Sunny Deol portrayed the character of Tara, a valiant truck driver, while Ameesha Patel depicted Sakina. The film is set against the backdrop of India's partition in 1947 and narrates Tara Singh's audacious journey across the border to rescue his son, played by Utkarsh Sharma, who is held captive in Pakistan. The movie also featured Manish Wadhwa and Gaurav Chopra.

Director Anil Sharma disclosed that numerous fans have urged him to submit 'Gadar 2' for consideration at the Oscars. He remarked, "People are constantly calling me, insisting we send the film to the Oscars. While 'Gadar: Ek Prem Katha' (2001) didn't make it, we are making efforts for 'Gadar 2.' The film deserves it; it's a new and original story, just like 'Gadar' was based on the 1947 partition but told in a unique way. 'Gadar 2' carries the same originality."

The discussion surrounding Gadar 3 gains momentum as fans eagerly anticipate the next chapter in this beloved franchise, eager to witness the continuation of this cinematic saga.
