Amid preparations for the upcoming "Delhi Chalo March," Delhi Traffic Police have released a detailed traffic advisory to manage the anticipated disruptions. The advisory comes in light of several farmer associations announcing a massive rally on February 13 to advocate for a law ensuring Minimum Support Price (MSP) for agricultural produce.

To facilitate smooth traffic flow and mitigate potential gridlocks, traffic restrictions and diversions will be enforced, especially around the Singhu Border area starting from February 12 for commercial vehicles and February 13 for all types of vehicles.

The advisory outlines specific routes and diversions for different types of vehicles intending to travel towards Sonipat, Panipat, Karnal, Bahadurgarh, Rohtak, and other areas via NH-44 and surrounding regions. Additionally, alternative routes are suggested to navigate through potential congestion points effectively.

Notably, prohibitory orders have been imposed, including Section 144, in Delhi-NCR from February 11 to March 11 to maintain law and order. Delhi Police, anticipating the arrival of protesters from various states, have heightened security measures at borders, deploying over 5,000 personnel and implementing strategic barricades to deter unauthorized entry into the capital.

The farmers' agitation, organized by numerous unions representing farmers from Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, and other regions, aims to address key demands, including the enactment of a law ensuring MSP for crops. As tensions escalate, Delhi gears up for potential disruptions in its transportation network, emphasizing the need for commuters to adhere to the issued advisory for a hassle-free commute.
