The Chief Minister of Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal, will spend the next two weeks confined to a 14 by 8-foot cell at Tihar's Jail No. 2. He was captured by the cops on Monday. It is situated in the prisoners' private "general area" of the jail and features an integrated toilet. The complex, which has room for roughly 600 people, will house Kejriwal because it is less crowded than the places where prisoners are kept while they await trial.

He had to stay outside by himself in order to protect himself. A prison guard said that a closed-circuit television camera will be watching the inmate's welfare all the time. The security measures in Kejriwal's cell and the characteristics of the inmates confined in surrounding cells were discussed during numerous meetings between the detainees and the jail officials. Every jail staff member is always on high alert to keep an eye on the closed-circuit video cameras outside his cell. The officer further stated that they have been told to report any suspicious behavior to higher authorities. The fast response team will be stationed next to the cell in case something untoward occurs, and they have been instructed to remain vigilant.

Kejriwal showed up at his cell at around six o'clock on Monday night, filled out the necessary paperwork, and had a medical checkup. He was also given a "mulahija kit," which consists of daily-use essentials, in addition to the books he had requested. This compilation includes the Ramayana, the Gita, and news anchor Neerja Chowdhury's How Prime Ministers Decide. When a person arrives at the institution, all valuables are seized; however, Kejriwal was given permission to keep a locket, which he had requested the court to preserve. According to a source inside the prison, Kejriwal will always have one or two staff members with him when he visits the jail canteen or receives therapy in order to protect his safety. The paperwork sent states that when he breaks out of his cell, "jail staff will be informed in advance so they can conduct a security check of the area and the route he is to take."

The cell is located to a raised cement platform and has a television mounted. As mandated by the jail handbook, officials gave Kejriwal a pillow, a blanket, and a sheet when he arrived. In addition, he received two buckets, a jug, and other required items. According to insiders, Kejriwal has listed six potential visitors for his prison visitation schedule. He listed his wife, two kids, and a buddy named Sandeep Pathak as among the three people. The Tihar government opened a bank account for the Chief Minister as soon as he arrived.
