In Chhattisgarh, the political arena is abuzz as the state gears up for elections next month. Raipur, the capital, maintains its usual serenity, contrasting the fervor in political circles. The state'spolitical landscape is dominated by Congress and BJP, each eyeing victory in the upcoming polls.

BJP, determined to regain power after a 2018 defeat, is targeting the state government on various fronts - from infrastructure to alleged conversions. Central to their narrative is the corruption angle, with a focus on the incumbent CM, Bhupesh Baghel. Baghel, in response, asserts that these allegations won't deter his party.

Confidently, Baghel predicts Congress will clinch 75 out of 90 seats in the two-phase November elections. He dismisses corruption allegations as orchestrated ploys by the BJP and the Central government. Baghel challenges why no concrete evidence has surfaced despite numerous raids.

Amit Shah, Union Home Minister, released a chargesheet against Baghel, but the CM counters with a 'pratyarop,' questioning the lack of follow-up action. Baghel credits his government's achievements in economy, education, health, and cultural preservation for Congress's potential retention of power.

Baghel highlights the impact of his flagship paddy production bonus, transforming farmers' lives. He asserts this initiative isn't a financial burden due to diversified revenue streams. Chhattisgarh government invests approximately Rs 6,000 crore in this bonus scheme.

Internal strife within the Chhattisgarh Congress, particularly between Baghel and TS Singhdeo, is evident. Despite reports of power-sharing, Singhdeo feels constrained in fulfilling promises. Baghel reassures unity within Congress, pointing out the BJP's need for internal reconciliation.

Baghel proudly states his government's success in pacifying naxal-affected regions, liberating 600 villages. He pledges to secure voting in these areas. Dismissing allegations of religious conversions and delisting of Christian tribals, Baghel asserts these issues don't resonate with the public.

Regarding the next CM, Baghel defers to the Congress High Command for the final decision if Congress secures victory in the polls. The stage is set for a closely-watched electoral showdown in Chhattisgarh.
