The BJP is confident of winning back 25 of the 28 Lok Sabha seats in Karnataka in the

upcoming general elections. The Congress wants to change the direction of the BJP in 2024,

while the JD(S) and AAP are also trying to make their presence felt. Amid a wave of hijab

crisis and killings by Hindu extremists, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has made gains in

the state by reaching out to young and new voters, sources say. The crisis was in the

community and the BJP used the opportunity to reach out to several students who were in

touch with Hindu organizations and activists. This has helped them gain the support of

thousands of students who now subscribe to the Hindu philosophy of the Bharatiya Janata

Party.

Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai said party workers in the booths had reached double the

threshold per voter in the state and explained to them the plans of the central and state

governments. Even as polls show setbacks for the BJP in Karnataka, former Central

Parliamentary Committee member and BJP BS Yediurapa sees success for the party,

especially with the help of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's international reputation. The

central command also oversees general elections as well as parliamentary elections.

Recently, Sumalata Ambarch, an independent candidate from Mandya, joined the BJP.
