In anticipation of the Ram Navami festivities, several West Bengal police stations have been placed on high alert. Doing this helps avoid possible conflicts between communities. It is said that the Hindu Jagran Manch is coordinating more than 5,000 religious processions at the panchayat or ward level, dispersed over all districts of the state. Also, in affiliation with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), the organization has planned many large-scale processions in Burrabazar, Siliguri, and Barasat.

Allegedly, prior communal disturbances around the Ram Navami festival have put the district administrations of Barrackpore, Hooghly, Uttar, Dakshin Dinajpur, Asansol, and Howrah on high alert. There will be serious consequences for those who disobey the warning that has been issued by law authorities.

A police officer who asked not to be named told The Indian Express that troops would not be permitted to show off their weapons during the celebration's processions. We have granted authorization to some traditional groupings and akharas. Video recording will even be done during their processions.

Violent protests at Ram Navami have escalated in recent years, leading to widespread political disputes and even violence between different communities. Because of this, the party has become a political battleground.

Last year's fighting started in Howrah on March 30 but quickly spread to North Dinajpur and Hooghly districts. There were ten casualties.
