Amidst a political storm, Delhi's LG rebuffed a report from Vigilance Minister Atishi on the Bamnoli land acquisition, branding it "half-baked." The report, endorsed by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, pointed fingers at Chief Secretary Naresh Kumar, alleging involvement in a scam related to the land acquisition by the National Highways Authority of India in 2018 for the Dwarka Expressway.

LG VK Saxena criticized the report, stating it was based on preconceived assumptions and leaked selective details to the media. He highlighted that the matter was already under CBI investigation and accused the report of aiming to create a biased public perception.

The LG argued that the report aimed to politicize the issue and protect certain individuals without solid evidence. Meanwhile, the AAP government strongly opposed the LG's dismissal, calling for an impartial CBI inquiry.

The government claimed the LG's actions were shielding favored officers and insisted on forwarding evidence to the CBI for a fair investigation. They raised concerns over the chief secretary's alleged involvement in multiple companies benefiting from government contracts.

Despite the government's demand for an impartial inquiry, the LG stood firm on his stance, rejecting the report's recommendations for a CBI investigation. The ongoing conflict between the LG and the Delhi government escalated over differing views on the course of action regarding the alleged scam.

In essence, the clash revolves around the validity and implications of the report, intensifying the political standoff between the Delhi LG and the AAP-led government.
