Supreme Court of India will hear Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's plea against the Enforcement Directorate's arrest on April 15.

The Delhi high court upheld the central agency's arrest of him earlier this month. The case will be heard by two judges, Sanjiv Khanna and Dipankar Datta, according to ANI.

Arvind Kejriwal was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate last month when they were looking into allegations of money laundering related to the Delhi excise policy case. His judicial detention was mandated by a Delhi court last week, and his release date is scheduled for April 15.

After the Delhi High Court ruled that there had been no breach of the law, Arvind Kejriwal had petitioned the Supreme Court.

The Delhi high court determined that there is sufficient evidence from the Enforcement Directorate to support Arvind Kejriwal's arrest. The agency could not be held accountable for the chief minister's arrest timing, the court decided, since the chief minister had already pushed it to its breaking point.

The single judge bench of Justice Swarana Kanta Sharma ruled in 103 pages that Kejriwal had allegedly conspired with others and participated in the development of the policy, based on the evidence that was given before the court.

Arvind Kejriwal appeared before the high court on March 23 to contend that the actions of the election-driven ED violated his fundamental rights.

For the same reason, Kejriwal and AamAadmi Party (AAP) leader Manish Sisodia have both been incarcerated since February of last year. Sanjay Singh, an additional AAP politician incarcerated, was just given bail.
