Amazon's "Mission GraHAQ" Expands Consumer Awareness Campaign to North East

In a strategic move to enhance consumer awareness in the North Eastern states, Amazon India unveiled its expansion of the "Mission GraHAQ" campaign. This initiative is a pivotal part of Amazon's continuous efforts to educate and empower consumers regarding online shopping, with a focus on safety and trustworthiness.

In a strategic move to enhance consumer awareness in the North Eastern states, Amazon India unveiled its expansion of the "Mission GraHAQ" campaign. This initiative is a pivotal part of Amazon's continuous efforts to educate and empower consumers regarding online shopping, with a focus on safety and trustworthiness.

Amazon's "Mission GraHAQ" campaign aims to proactively educate consumers in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, and Tripura. The campaign underscores Amazon's commitment to shielding consumers from deceptive practices and fostering a secure online shopping environment.

To achieve this, Amazon is set to produce interactive radio programs broadcasted three times a week on All India Radio (AIR), reaching out to 29 radio stations across the North East. These broadcasts will be conducted in nine local languages commonly spoken in the region, ensuring accessibility and comprehension for all.

Rohit Kumar Singh, Secretary of the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food And Public Distribution, commended Amazon India's proactive steps in enhancing consumer awareness. Utilizing local languages and radio broadcasts, this initiative equips consumers with a deep understanding of online shopping nuances, including product information, online payments, grievance resolution, and consumer responsibilities.

Vice President of Public Policy at Amazon India Chetan Krishnaswamy underlined the company's steadfast commitment to offering a reliable and safe online purchasing experience. "The Mission GraHAQ campaign embodies our commitment to educate consumers about their rights and empower them to make well-informed purchase decisions."

Beginning on October 31 and lasting for three months, radio advertisements in Hindi, Bengali, Assamese, Nagamese, Garo, Khasi, Nepali, Manipuri, and Mizo will be broadcast. These radio ads, which are the result of a partnership between Amazon and AIR, will address a number of topics, such as consumer rights, options, accessible channels for complaints, and secure online purchasing procedures.

The "Mission GraHAQ" campaign, which was introduced in 2022, has already touched hundreds of thousands of customers in more than 100 cities in six states. Amazon's creative strategy, which includes street plays in regional tongues, has been crucial in educating people about safe online buying procedures and building customer confidence in the digital retail space.
