BJP Responds

New Delhi, July 15, 2023 – The capital city of Delhi is currently grappling with severe flooding caused by the overflowing Yamuna River. As the city struggles to combat the crisis, a political blame game has ensued with the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) alleging a conspiracy behind the flooding, while the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has vehemently refuted these claims.

The Yamuna River, which flows through Delhi, has breached its banks, inundating several low-lying areas and causing widespread damage to homes, infrastructure, and public property. The torrential rains over the past few days have exacerbated the situation, leaving thousands of residents stranded and seeking shelter in relief camps.

BJP Responds
The capital city of Delhi is currently grappling with severe flooding caused by the overflowing Yamuna River.

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) claims that a plot was developed to “drown” Delhi by releasing too much water from the Hathnikund Barrage in Haryana towards the national capital when the Yamuna began to gradually drop after reaching a record height of 208.66 meters.

“The timing of the release of water and the extent of flooding cannot be a mere coincidence. This reeks of a deliberate act to disrupt the functioning of our government and malign our efforts,” Kejriwal stated visibly frustrated.

As the two major parties exchange barbs, the people of Delhi continue to suffer the consequences of the flooding. The administration, with the help of central relief agencies, is working tirelessly to provide assistance to those affected, including rescue operations, distribution of food and water, and temporary shelter arrangements.

The Delhi flood crisis serves as a stark reminder of the urgent need for better urban planning, improved drainage systems, and effective disaster management strategies. As the political blame game intensifies, it is essential for all parties involved to set aside their differences and focus on providing relief and support to the affected residents of Delhi.

Meanwhile, as the floodwaters recede and the damage is assessed, the people of Delhi eagerly await a resolution to the ongoing political controversy, hoping that the focus will soon shift towards comprehensive flood prevention measures and long-term solutions to protect the city from future calamities.
