In a poignant appeal to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Achal Singh Meena, a dedicated karsevak injured during the 1992 Ram Mandir agitation, seeks permission to visit the newly consecrated Ram Mandir in Ayodhya on January 22. The upcoming ceremony has reignited memories of the historical struggle that unfolded on that fateful December day in 1992.

Back in 1992, amidst the fervor surrounding the construction of the Ram Temple, Achal Singh Meena, then 30, played a prominent role. Climbing to demolish the disputed structure, a part of the debris fell on his back, leading to paralysis in his lower body. Admitted first to Faizabad and later to Lucknow's Gandhi Medical College, Achal regained consciousness but lost the ability to walk.

Living a low-profile life in a village near Bhopal, Achal Meena expressed his joy upon learning about the Ram Mandir's erection. In an exclusive interview with India Today TV, Achal Singh Meena emphasized his desire for a darshan of "Ram Lalla" and the chance to be in Ayodhya, completing a spiritual journey that started with the tumultuous events of 1992.
